Twitter does not support HTML or CSS font styling. Instead, this tool uses Unicode character blocks that contain letters visually styled as bold, italic, script, circled, and more. These characters paste directly into the Twitter composer and display in their styled form to all users, on all devices.
Yes. Twitter counts each Unicode character as one character regardless of which block it comes from. A bold ๐ counts the same as a plain A. The live counter in this tool uses the same counting method so you can stay within the limit before copying.
Bold Script and Script are the most popular choices for Twitter bios because they give a personal, handwritten feel. Small Caps adds a clean professional look. Fullwidth creates wide spaced letters that work well for name or tagline emphasis. All 8 styles in this tool have been verified to render correctly on Twitter.
Yes. Twitter display names accept Unicode, so any of the 8 styles work. Keep in mind that Twitter display names are limited to 50 characters. Type a short version of your name, check that it fits, and paste it into the Name field in your profile settings.
All 8 styles use standard Unicode blocks and render correctly on both the Twitter web app and the iOS and Android apps. If a character appears as a box on a specific device, it is a font coverage issue with that device. Try a different style that uses more widely supported characters.
Twitter search indexes the actual Unicode characters, not their visual appearance. A search for "hello" will not match a post written as "๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ต๐ต๐ธ" because they are different code points. This can be an advantage if you want decorated text that does not appear in keyword searches.
